A parade at 7 p.m. by the Black Diamond Dam and Baton Corps of Lyons leads to a 75 member performance after the parade at Hannah and Madison. Shoppers should fill prize coupons, awards to be announced noon, 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. If rain delays, the sale will move to June 13.
Garfield parents and families invited to a Spaghetti Supper at Garfield School Thursday June 1 from 5 30 to 7 p m. Dinner family style with prices 1 25 for Jr High and adults 75 cents for 1st through 6th grade and Kindergarten and under free. Tickets available at the door. Information via two phone numbers. Music by Herbie Apple and his Tia Juana Brats.
Joseph P. Messina son of Mrs. Paul Messina of 7713 Adams received a Bachelor of Arts in French from St. John’s University on May 31.
The Forest Park Woman's Club plans a Garden Tupperware Party as a fundraiser with outside orders available. President Mrs. R Johnston can arrange pickup. executive board meets June 6 at 1 p.m. at Mrs. Erwin Hermann's home 1006 Marengo.
Proviso Township high schools will end the 1966 87 school year for 1457 seniors with class nights and commencement next week. Superintendent Norman S. Green will address both classes on the theme Commencement Means Beginning. Proviso East and West class nights are set for Tuesday June 6 at 8 p.m. in the Field House and Gym.
The Secretary of State delivers the updated "Rules of the Road" volumes for the first time since 1954. Free copies are available at the REVIEW office, 7516 Madison, with a new medical driving section and updated content.
Forest Park voters face a June 14 ballot on a $385000 bond to rehab or replace park facilities. The plan covers lighting upgrades, a new pool filtering plant, a protected TolPark, new tennis and shuffleboard courts, upgraded baseball fields, fencing, and building refurbishments. Estimated annual cost to the average taxpayer is about $3.80.
The Forest Park Board of Education schedules a regular meeting for Wednesday June 7 at 7 30 p m in the Board Office Field Stevenson School 925 Beloit. The public is invited.
