Chicago Man Killed as Train Hits Truck at Crossing
Harold Knotty twenty years old of Austin Texas was killed near Maywood Illinois after his Central Lime and Cement Co truck was struck by a passenger train. He lived at 184 North Kostner Avenue with his wife and one child. The wreck occurred at Ninth Avenue crossing when no gates were down and the freight train stopped nearby. Knotty died at Oak Brook Hospital shortly after the collision.

Huff suffered a broken right leg, several broken teeth and head injuries requiring stitches. Weler posted $2,000 bond as Forest Park police investigated, with witnesses lacking and the case likely to continue until Huff can testify.

Dr. Mary A. Dearlove of Oak Park died last Friday after a five week illness following a fall at 45 Ontario Street. A pioneer woman doctor in Chicago, she practiced medicine about thirty five years and was well known in Forest Park. She came from New York in 1865 and graduated from Bennet College. She is survived by three children, including Mrs. Marie Sande.
