Forest Park Recreation Center Opens Three-Story Unit in Harris Building

School Board Lets Stevenson Contract
The school board at its meeting Monday awarded a contract for cementing the Stevenson cellar to Sin Bestoer of Forest for 1200. Two other bids were rejected for noncompliance with specifications. Work started this week and must be completed by September 1. The current basement floor was dirt and unsuitable for a playroom. A new toilet room will be added and modernized as part of the project. The board also let a contract for a new toilet on the old school for 7000 to Brnxt Construction Company. An extra classroom will be built on the old toilet room. The board adjourned to meet on the second Tuesday in August.
