Savings Girls Ready For Citywide Tourney
The Pirst Savings Girls softball team edged the Barville All stars 3-2 in nine innings to open a doubleheader. Urbanski pitched well for First Savings, two runs and four hits allowed, while Barville errors and timely hits produced the decisive run in the ninth. A 4-0 first inning lead and a later 4-0 win in the second game sent First Savings to Milwaukee to face the Jewels with 23-3 record. Metro Tourney pairing to follow.
