Forest Park Village Council hears Commission Lambke report on the 1967 red ink of 30 000, funds drawn from water for bonds, parking meters earmarked for off street lots, and new revenue from sales tax. Census shows 14 886 residents, with state tax implications and plans to boost revenue.
A weekend gathering of submarine crew members from World War II tied to the USS Rasher will begin Friday at the O'Hare Holiday Inn. Attendees travel from Maine and California and among them is Teeter Sasgen of 7660 Wilcox.
Miss Marilyn Hubbell earns a June 1968 Bradley University bachelor’s in Elementary Education and returns from Lincoln School Peoria to teach fifth grade at Garfield. Mrs Diane Arnold, University of Illinois graduate June 1966, with two years teaching in Arlington Heights, will teach second grade at Field Stevenson.
A petition signed by 50 residents urged action against the Jordan Paint Co in Marengo and Franklin for 24 hour noise dust and fear of explosion. Mayor Witt ordered thorough inspections with reports due at the next council meeting.
