At a Forest Park Board meeting Robert Pruitt announced resignation effective Sept 1 1962 to join the University of Chicago as Assistant Professor and Associate Director of Secondary Education in its Laboratory School. He leaves after seven years improving facilities and programs and his daughters will continue school at Proviso East.

Woman Hurt By Rock On Expressway
Last week in Oak Park a rock throwing incident on the Expressway caused injuries and property damage. Chester Shaffer’s car windshield shattered near Des Plaines at 4 15 p m but he kept control. In another crash at Congress and Circle a family from Chicago received cuts and glass injuries. A youth was caught throwing rocks and sentenced to Vandalia for 10 weeks with a fine.

Charles F. Kramp dies at 93 in Forest Park home
Charles F. Kramp of 7434 Warren Forest Park died June 17 from heart disease. Born June 14 1872 in Chicago he moved to Forest Park in 1906. Former St Johns School teacher and longtime Provigo Township Treasurer’s Office accountant he is survived by wife Frieda three daughters Helen Baumgartner Laura Thompson Antonia Kramp and a son Dr EL Kramp who predeceased him. Funeral was June 20 at St Johns Church with burial at Chapel Hill Gardens West.
