Act TV Forest Park presents Act IVs winter production The Wisdom of Eve at St Bernardine hall Elgin and Harrison in Forest Park. Sixteen local performers star in the comedy drama with matinee Sunday Feb 1 at 2 pm and Fri and Sat Jan 30 31 at 430 pm. Admission 250 adults 125 students seniors. Forest Park National Bank joins ABA in co sponsoring ABC televising the Innsbruck 1976 Winter Olympics. Coverage runs 43.5 hours on Channel 7 February 3 to 14 with 70 percent prime time and an estimated 71 million U.S. homes. The theme Your Bank Helping You Change Things For The Better highlights banking’s role in community growth.
Prospective Proviso East and West freshmen who missed high school placement tests may take final makeup tests on February 7 and February 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Students must attend both sessions and bring two pencils and an eraser. East or West assignment based on location, call 344 7000 ext for details.
Registration for the 1976 Little League season will be held at the Park Building Beloit and Harrison on February 7 and 8 and again February 14 and 15. Hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Applications after February 15 are not accepted due to the upcoming player draft. First time registrants must present a birth certificate.
Parents and students at Grant-White school hold a bicentennial winter picnic on Tuesday February 10 from 6 30 to 9 00 pm in the school gym. PTA sponsors dinner with pot luck dishes and a recipe exchange. Forest Park School Band directed by Michael Locigne performs. Mrs Mary Ann Taylor coordinates cultural arts. Band Parents Association invited.
St Bernardine's teens will run a paper drive February 21 to February 2ath with a trailer in the parking lot between church and school at 7246 Harrison Forest Park. Acceptable are all papers magazines and catalogs no cardboard. Call 771 7336 or 366 0839 for pickup.
Forest Park village board discussed equipment needs and approved a $12,766.33 bid for a John Deere front loader while accepting various bids for old machinery and deferring hot roller and HVAC bids until the next meeting. The panel also approved a $17,000 wastewater settlement share and other community actions.
Unregistered voters have until Friday to register for the March 16 primary. Village Clerk 517 Desplaines and Proviso Township Clerk 7508 Madison stay open to 4 PM for in person registration. Citizens 18 by March 17 may register, residency rules apply, naturalized citizens must bring papers. after Friday registration moves to County Building Room 402 through Feb 17.
