Forest Lions donate Braille writers to blind locals
The Forest Lions Club donated two Braille writers to local visually impaired residents. One went to Mrs Phyliss Sterns of 1010 Marenga and the other to 12 year old Miss Mary Jo Wenzlaff of River Forest. Fundraising by Lions Candy Day and related Lions Club projects financed the purchase.

Gas Station Owners In Court Today Over Snow Piling
Seven local gas station proprietors arrested last week for piling snow on public sidewalks will appear before Judge Edward Schultz at 2 p.m. today. Chief Corting said the action halted sidewalk work and caused hazards while most owners expect to plead guilty. An exception, Arnie Linkous of Arnia's Shell, Desplaines and Harrison, will be represented by a Gasoline Retail Dealers Association attorney.

Cook County mothers wearing the Golden Key of Hope plan a door to door drive Tuesday evening from 7 to 8 to seek contributions for the March of Dimes.
