The Forest Park Fire Department will conduct a CPR course on the first four Wednesdays in March 3 10 17 and 24 at St Bernardines School Sessions run 645 to 930 p.m. Registration at the fire station daily 1100 a.m. to 800 p.m. until March 2 and by phone at 365-1234. Fireman Shayne Ryerson is in charge.
Ruth Black of Black's Gourmet Shoppe in Wheaton will headline Gourmet Night Monday at St John church hall. The 7:45 program includes a demo on party foods and hors d oeuvres with a tasting for attendees. Tickets cost 2.25 with reservations to Ruth Ramel or Marfan Flight.
Forest Park Bicentennial Commission plans Thursday meeting at 7 30 PM in the Community Center. Agenda focuses on proposed events for the community's 4th of July celebration. Public invited and members urged to attend this important gathering.
Forest Park Band Parents sponsor a candy sale through March 13 to raise funds for new uniforms. The 30 top sellers will win a pizza party. Band Parents meet Thursday March 4 at Betsy Bogs School at 7 45 p.m.
Reunion plans for the Proviso East High School Class of 1966 mark the 10 year reunion to be held September 4. Contact the school office at 344 7000 or 547 0469 for details. Oktoberfest 76 first meeting is March Ath at 8:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall Forest Park.
The Forest Park Little League Wo mans Auxiliary will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday March 2 at 8 00 p m in the Community Center. AU mothers of Little League players are invited to attend.
Forest Park publishes a detailed list of its commission form government departments and heads led by Mayor Howard Mohr. The notice explains each commissioner’s remit from streets to public health and safety, with contact numbers for non emergency calls and office hours.
St Bernardine School invites the public to a Sunday February 29 School Fair from 12 to 3 pm at 815 Elgin. Demonstrations, exhibits, and demos include fudge making, a film strip by primary students, Junior High Singers, and a globe Q&A. Registration info and LGEs Individually Guided Education details will be provided.
