Herbert Meissner Honored At St John Church

St John Lutheran Church honored Herbert Meissner for 20 years as Sunday School Superintendent during the 1045 Worship Service. A banquet at Homer's Restaurant followed, with messages from former pastors and church officials. Meissner, head mechanic at Shepherd Foreign Cars in Oak Park, was praised as a faithful and humble servant devoted to the youth.

Handwriting Analyst to Speak at St Bernardine Rosary

Patricia Lavin, consultant and lecturer on graphology, will present to the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Bernardine Church on Tuesday March 1 after evening devotions in the school hall at 815 Elgin. Easter Hat Party At Chicago State Hospital For 900 Women

Forest Park Woman's Club members host an Easter party for 900 women patients at Chicago State Hospital from 9 30 to 3 30 on Wednesday March 16. Guests select Easter bonnets and enjoy social visits with refreshments. Donations of used hats welcome at Rierson's Drug Store Circle and Madison before March 12. For information call FO 6 4035.

Measles Vaccine Offered for Local Children

A nationwide competitive examination announces temporary summer positions in large post offices. The test selects the least qualified applicants for seasonal assistants from May 1 to Sept 30 1986. Applications due February 24. Pay is 2 37 per hour. Written test in March in over 1000 cities. Some duties require driving.

Loyola mid year convocation honors three Forest Parkers

Loyola University Chicago awarded degrees to three Forest Park residents: Doris Mills of 7617 Harvard earned a Master of Science in Nursing, John Figliola of 1539 S Harlem a Master of Education, and Robert Heuser of 7522 Harrison a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Miss Heart 1966 Kimberly Stone Shines in Heart Fund

Nine year old Kimberly Dell Stone of Bloomingdale has been named Miss Heart for the Heart Fund drive in the Chicago area. A successful surgery closed a heart defect and she now enjoys swimming and bicycling. The Heart Fund campaign runs a month with a $1.35 million goal to fund research education and community service by the Chicago Heart Association across three counties. The association has redirected millions to research since 1954 and to education. Kimberly known as Kim lives on Schick Road with her parents William and unnamed mother, plus a 14 year old brother and an 18 year old sister.

VFW Auxiliary Seeks Forest Park service members’ names
