Last week's start of the REVIEW'S seven part series outlined the RTA plan. A nine member board with five year terms. Chicago supplies four seats, suburban Cook County two, five outer counties two. a single full time Chairman must win six votes. Major actions need two thirds board approval. One Day Voter Registration Incoming on February 15
Acting on a suggestion from the Forest Park Review Senator Howard Mohr has secured the county mobile voter's registration unit for February 15 inForest Park. The unit will park at Forest Park National Bank from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Any U.S. citizen 18 or older living in Winots for one year and in their precinct for 30 days is eligible. Those voting in the March 15 primary or RTA referendum must register by February 18. This timing makes the visit timely.

Lime look replaces traditional red fire engine in Forest Park
Forest Park unveils a new Mack fire engine costing 51000 with a 500 gallon tank and 400 feet of 1-1/2 inch hose plus 1200 feet of 2-1/2 inch hose. Pumping capacity is 1250 gpm, 25 percent higher than prior equipment. Chief Artis cites 1098 calls and 1711 inspections for 1973, with 15435 violations found and corrected. Mayor Mohr praises department’s prompt response and modernization replacing a 1954 Pirsch.

Go For Bids Soon On New Village Hall Plans
Plans near completion call for a new municipal building on the Jackson Desplaines lot costing about 250000. It will house the Village Clerk's office council rooms and police headquarters with demolition of the 1915 landmark village hall and remodeling of fire facilities. The Cook County Circuit Court will move to Maywood, freeing space. Revenue Sharing funds will finance the project.

F P Bank Elects Officers Cites Growth in 1973
Forest Park National Bank announced at its annual meeting that Frank P. Schreiber was named chairman and Raymond Ratajak elected president for a one year term. Directors include Reichle Sodara Unger and Vrooman. Officers named were Connelly Ogden Rapp Hughes Donovan Phebus Sasso. Schreiber noted an 11 percent asset gain for 1973 and said a $3.00 per share total dividend was paid. Remodeling completed, the bank expects solid growth in 1974.
