Thomas elected to board of American Cemetery Association
James R Thomas is elected to the board of directors of the American Cemetery Association. He serves as President and Generator at Forest Home Cemetery and has been with Forest Home since July 1 1946. The association is described as the oldest cemetery group in America.
Ice Skating Rink to Open Friday at Forest Park
Forest Park will open a $150000 ice skating rink Friday at 1 p.m. The 120 by 130 foot rink atop the tennis courts at Harrison and Hannah aims to offer about 20 weeks of skating and winter lighting for night activities. A grand opening and inspection tour is set for Sunday February 22 with Engineer John Hieberelitany and park personnel.
