Forest Park officials led a tense village meeting focused on school finances and personal property taxes. Mueller outlined district history, while Mohr and others pressed for tax schedules, real estate tax increases, and accountability on picnic funds and Wilson case handling.
Two candidates declared for mayor this week, Murray and George Gold. Murray is identified as Justice of the Peace, while Gold is a former school board member. Rumors of additional candidates persist as local committees discuss the race and plan a coordinating conference of civic groups.
Sidney Wiladti former school board member arrested on a warrant charged with witholding 1400 dollars in district funds. He appeared in Judge Witt's court with a receipt from A C Rots treasurer showing the payment. The case was continued for a week with consent of the complainant as the state considered prosecution or dismissal. A representative of the state's attorney will be in court next week. The court also heard auto violations and a drunken dispute in which a husband was fined 100 dollars and bound by a year long peace bond.

A Davis Company delivery wagon in Chicago on Randolph Street caused a minor collision after the driver lost steering control when the wheel locked. The truck bumped a touring car, damaging its body and front wheel area, with minor injuries and no serious injuries reported.

Community plans included an industrial division and a possible Township rating committee for regional cooperation across Forest Park Wheaton Glen Ellyn River Forest LaGrange and more. The event highlighted ongoing civic work and preparations for future initiatives.
Albert Cromlo a youth from Chicago was abducted by four young men who forced him into a car near his home on a Saturday night. They robbed him of 3.00 dollars and his watch, stripped him of his clothes, and left him three miles away wrapped in a blanket. He flagged down a house and police later captured the suspects this week.
A local committee debates a tax assessment plan to boost revenue. Officials propose penalties of up to fifty percent of yearly taxes if tax schedules are not filed on time, while stressing equal treatment and better future tax returns.
