Walter Sturm known as Wally ran newsstands in Des Plaines and Madison since 1922 and 1931 car train crash cost his arm ended his baseball career. He mentored in semi pro leagues, wife Erna, son Wally Jr., sister Amanda Polkow survive. Memorial Trophy established for best pitcher. Funeral at Zimmermanns Forest Park Presbyterian. Interment Forest Home Cemetery.

Circuit Court OKs Capalety Buildings
Circuit Court Judge William Touhy ruled Capalety and Cisco may erect multiple dwellings at the SW corner of Lathrop and York and the NW corner of Ferdinand and Harvard. The village council denied permission, a decision overridden after planning commission input the November vote. Capalety and Cisco plan a six unit building at Ferdinand and Harvard and twelve units at Lathrop and York.

Henry Gosch aged about 60s retires after 37 years with the Chicago Tribune. He and wife Edna, longstanding Forest Park residents since 1917, will relocate to Leake Worth Florida to build a home. He served as machinist foreman in the electrical maintenance department and their family includes three children Ruth Rech Ed and Bob with seven grandchildren Karen Gosch a nurse at Oak Park hospital.
