NI-Gas chief says energy costs will rise and urges conservation
NI-Gas chief J Gauthier tells reporters that higher energy costs are here to stay with average winter gas bills rising about 50 percent, adding roughly $20 a month for a typical gas heated home. He cites conservation programs, such as efficiency consultations for large users, homebuilder conservation awards, and insulation financing, as ways to trim costs while projects expand in 48 states.
