Local Lady Is Honored by Chicago Bank
Edna Bertoncini of the First National Bank of Chicago received a 50 year service honor on November 19. She is the first woman and 24th person to reach this milestone at the bank. Her husband Joseph marked 50 years with the bank on May 9, making the couple notable for a combined 100 years of service. She received a savings bond and a diamond pin. the bank’s chair and the Illinois Bankers Association awarded a gold pin to signify her entry into the 50 year club, which counts 268 men and 13 women.
