Forest Park will establish a Day Nursery in the Jacob Hollander home at 528 Thomas Avenue early next May. Lloyd Lehman announced the plan at a Day Nursery meeting, noting the school board donates the seven room residence with a rental of one dollar yearly and upkeep by the nursery association.

Train collision injures Oak Park couple near Harrison
Mr and Mrs E P Fovat of 1029 Beloit avenue were injured when an east bound Wentcheeter crossed at Harrison and Harlem as gates failed. The first car was not struck but was hit by a second car that bounced from the moving train. Flagman Arthur Fischer, signaling raised gates, was crushed. Injured were taken to Oak Park hospital.

Charles F Bruns Dies From Tularemia After Rabbit Work
Charles F Bruns 529 Circle Avenue died of tularemia contracted while clearing a diseased rabbit. Funeral held last Monday at Zimmer Chapel with burial at Wexllin. Survived by three children Edwin Frank Lyvelyn, three brothers George Edward Herman, three sisters Mrs Sophie Brands Mrs Rouge Weiners Mrs ati Magus. A Forest Park resident for 40 years he worked for the Forest Park street dept for eight years.

Fritz Kroepel a longtime Forest Park resident born in 1832 in Germany died last Monday at his daughter Mrs Pfisterer’s home at 1032 Circle Avenue He had lived in Forest Park since 1900 He never married and is survived by one brother Ferdinand Funeral services were held last Wednesday with burial at Concordia.

Paragon Club Elects 1939 Officers in December Meeting
The Paragon club held its December 9 meeting electing officers for 1939. Arthur Neuliser is president with Fred Mumm as vice president, Ralph Abel secretary, Erwin Rittmanler treasurer, and Earl Witt editor. Directors include Geo Straschein chairman Leonard Thiese Louis Modrher and Allen Kluge. Installation will occur soon after the new year. The outgoing president Irwin Heidelbach is praised for a successful year.

Reich Re-Elected Leader Of Forest Minutemen
Otto Reich was re elected head of the Forest Minutemen at a Monday regular meeting in Watters hall. Carl Mohr was named vice commander and G Bat ley Vivi secretary with Ernest Walt as treasurer. Ten council members were chosen including Walter Lange and Kurt Herpner. About 20 men were installed as new members. The Michigan State Department of Conservation supplied beaver habitat affidavits and a social feast followed the meeting.

The Forest Club Lions hosted a Christmas party for kids at 7520 Madison Street with Jas Seiger and Miami Berliner directing. Santa Joe Wagner distributed prizes after a banquet followed by contests and a Mickey Mouse movie. About 45 Christmas baskets will be delivered December 22 with Dr. Leon Eisenman leading the basket committee.
