The Forest Lions Club reports ongoing support to local and international causes. Recent gifts include Hadley School for the Blind 555 dollars and Leader Dogs for the Blind 444 dollars, plus 555 dollars to various groups and 300 White Sox se als. Forest Park Receives 1966 National Pedestrian Safety Award
Forest Park earned a national pedestrian safety award for 1966 from the American Automobile Association. Chief John Tobin and Lieut. Lew Good received the honor on November 28 from Galen B. Stern of the Chicago Motor Club. The city posted zero pedestrian fatalities in 1966, highlighted as a bright spot by Chicago Motor Club president G. W. Cavanagh amid a nationwide decline in pedestrian deaths since 1937.
