NROTC exams will be given at Proviso High School Saturday December 8 at 9 a.m. About 30 boys will take part with eleven from Proviso boys already filing applications through the boys counselors office. Applicants who pass the aptitude test and requirements will win a four year college scholarship with twenty four semester hours of naval science in their curricula.

Post office informs the public that December hours will apply with exceptions. From December 13 to 15 the office stays open until 7 pm for stamps and parcels. On Saturday December 16 it stays open until 5 pm. No mail delivery on Sunday December 24 or Monday December 25.
