Othellos schedule a game with a Colored team next Sunday after a typographical error altered last week’s report of the Othellos versus Opale. The upcoming Sunday game marks the season’s end on the home court, with plans for a grand finish.
Notre Dame travels to River Forest Sunday to play the undefeated Dodgers in aFreshman football clash. Cape Colarus is drilling the squad as R F aims to upset the visitors in heat of prep at Revilone field with a 2 30 kickoff. Dodgers stretch run includes recent wins over Oak Park Maroons and West Suburban Arrows.
Concordia College to provide a fifty piece band for a double header basketball event at Provises Pligh School on Saturday evening December 1. The event features Go There Tadiana fears and a strong supporting cheer squad, with Forest Park and Suburbans as opponents in men and women games.
The St John Buddies dominated Pilgrim No Two in an 8 league game at Broadway Armory, winning 10 to 4 for their fourth consecutive victory. Cote scored three free throws for Pilgrims. Willetta Huxhold and B Milidred Peck led the Buddies as reserves. the team eyes a matchup with La Porte, Indiana, and a home game against Proviso High in December.

West Point cadet Charles Vanderblue, son of Mr and Mrs Jagat, a third year student at the Military Academy, spent a brief home visit in Forest Park after participating in Army football tests in Chicago last week. His health had raised concerns during the past year at the academy, but he now appears to be improving.
Mrs Mary E Ellithorpe aged about 60 died November 22 at Forest Home after a fall. She is survived by a son and daughter. John Stoltеe of 7601 Maine Street died November 16 at his sister’s home and was buried November 27 at Oak Grove. he was 60.
Mrs Marie Schulze aged 72 inmate of Altenhein died December 1 and will be buried at Concordia on Saturday December 4. Mrs Emma La Force died Tuesday November 23 and funeral service was held by Rev Tra L Livingston of First Presbyterian Oak Park from her late residence 738 South East avenue Oak Park. Burial was in Winchester Illinois. A son Carl and daughter Nellie survive.
Will Kluessner, son of Mr and Mrs Herman Kluessner, recently married Virginia Meyer of Maywood after long distance calls with Batavia New York where Kluessner was transferred by US Gypsum Co. The couple has moved to Chicago Oak Park as Kluessner received a promotion and transfer to the home office. Myrtle Peglau of 607 Hannah has been in Oak Park Hospital for a week for a minor operation.
The Grant School Parent Teachers Association invites the community to a party Friday evening December 10 to raise funds for the Elizabeth White addition at Grant School. Everyone is welcome. tickets available at Rowe Hardware and a bag of sampia tree will be given to each attendee.
