New Teachers at Proviso High School for Next Year

Proviso Township High School announces a large incoming faculty for the fall term starting September 2. New hires include A. B. Carr a civil Ohio State graduate and former Moline High teacher of mechanical drawing with three years teaching and military service. Also joining are Guy L. Dickerson a James Milliken University graduate and ex coach from Decatur High School with three years teaching, two years in athletics, and two years as a lieutenant in the service, and Miss J K Farrar an American College of Physical Education graduate with Wisconsin graduate work. she will lead Girls Physical Education at Provine after Charleston State Normal. P. B. Franke a Northwestern University graduate with two years teaching, previously principal of Baunemin Township School.

William French discharged from Great Northern last Saturday returns home. Charies Wolf of Wolfe dry goods sold new to I. Fienburg who took possession last Tuesday. Bir. Flen burg formerly ran a furniture store here. Georgine Korick vacationing at White Lake reports delightful bathing. Mrs Walter Hooter and family visit John Hanpentan in Sheridan hospital. Senator Frederick B. Roos will remodel his home on Mayrengo avenue beginning next week. Edward Bittel cannot return to Forest Park yet, awaiting discharge at Camp Grant. Walter Young visiting Galena relatives. Fransen family from Beloit and teachers arrive. Miss Violene Otis joins faculty from South Bend. Miss Margaret Phelan and Miss Anna Minfferty also join English department. The list of returning teachers includes many names. faculty gathering from Northwestern, University of Chicago, Pratt Institute. John Miller family take vacation from Forest Park. Superinten dent Henry Buelsfield returns from Los Angeles. Herman Prieg and son plan northern trip. Peterson and Beaucaire travel with family. Mrs. McCullough and party vacation at Diamond Park, Michigan. Delegates Gertrude Schoepter and Louise Kaufeld chosen for Northern Wartburg Federation at Streator.

Fletcher a wealthy Providence magnate who owns thirty two yachts a hotel and hosted a lavish week in Miami. Forest Park hosts eighth monthly homecoming for returning soldiers

The Forest Park community greeted seven returned servicemen and a wounded veteran named Buddy Reynolda at a large homecoming event. Mayor Kaul, Louie Branmer, and Paul Heinze spoke while Red Cross workers and Scout groups assisted. The evening included a banquet, a ballroom reception, and a late dance, with hope for future homecomings as more soldiers return.

Carl Jaekel Injured in Auto Accident

Wart Jaekel son of Officer and Mya fnekal, 820 Beloit Street, was seriously injured Tuesday evening at 7:40 when a group of companions rode street cars and a touring car owned by John L. Cellu, 1214 Central Boulevard, swung wide into the curb. Jaekel was crushed and dragged, suffering a broken leg and severe bruises. The driver fled, a young woman companion could not identify him, and bystanders say the car had a past of reckless driving on Friday afternoon. Jaekel lay in bed as a physician and X ray were summoned. Celia, claiming parental wealth, wanted him removed to a hospital, but he preferred staying home unless necessary.
