A burglar seized Rev Hauser’s eyeglasses with one cracked lens from the St John office and stole stamps and a taped radio and the office clock. Another break in at Casario's restaurant yielded $300 and 12 decks of cards. An attempted entry at 1028 Elgin failed. A storage garage on Washington near Circle was robbed of a $385 trowaling machine.

Three Forest Park girls Denruth Barre Adele Lorenz and Carolyn Lussow earned four year teacher scholarships at the State school of their choice. The tuition free awards were won by 17 Proviso East seniors.
