George Blaschke aged 34 of 431 Elgin died after an accident at Klimmers Greenhouses Inc. on 812 Dunlop when he slipped and fell through glass, cutting his jugular vein. He died en route to hospital. He is survived by his wife Jeanette and three children.

Lee Kujawa of 935 Thomas was freed last Thursday after his ankle became caught in bicycle wheel spokes while riding on the handlebars. A truck driver identified as assisting party used a tool to cut apart the spokes and extract him.

Youth Shot While Fleeing Police Probe
A 21 year old college student, son of a Forest Park family, was shot in the leg by Officer Bengard as he fled a residence area at 1008 10 Hannah after police arrived to investigate a prowler report. He was treated at Oak Park hospital and later moved to Bridewell. authorities say the youth intended only to peek through windows and had terrorized homes for six months. A zipper bag with a baseball suit and spike shoes was found where he prowled.
