Legion Auxiliary Unit 414 Social and Fundraising Meeting
The American Legion Auxiliary Forest Park Unit 414 held a joint social and business meeting on April 4 with Mrs. Jones in charge as fifth district inquest of honor and speaker and Mrs Ada Goorkman as child welfare chairperson. The group planned a May 30 home event for a clothing suite, supported boy and infant welfare actions, and contributed to park and hospital funds. Volunteers are sought for Poppy Day on May 24 and for selling bracelets to fund the Honor Roll for Forest Park youths who served in the war.

Mothers Day Concert By Maywood Festival Chorus
The Maywood Festival chorus directed by Robert Lee Osburn presents a Mothers Day concert at Proviso Township High School in Standage. One hundred twenty five voices perform well known oratorios with soloists Nancy Margaret Carve David Austin and Roy Glahn. The program includes piano and organ numbers and honors community mothers.
