Forest Park elects first write-in school board winner
In Forest Park’s Saturday election Mrs John Sallee won 964 unofficial write-in votes to join the school board, achieving the first write-in victory in the area. Her running mate Mrs Mathilde Petersohn also won one of the two seats, aided by Garfield School area support. Opponents included Harold Whelpley and Francis Vertuno.

Village Mourns Death of Miss Lois Paul
Funeral services were held for Lois Paul 22, daughter of Rev and Mrs Erwin Paul of St John Ev Lutheran. She died when her car went out of control on a super highway while returning for Easter weekend. A Walther Lutheran and Concordia College graduate taught at St Michael Lutheran School in Fort Wayne. She is survived by her parents a sister Ruth Ramel and grandmother Mrs Adolf Kranz.
