Six Year Old Struck By Car Near School
Kenneth Trout six year old son of Clarence W Trout 7208 Franklin was seriously hurt Tuesday morning when struck by a car at Circle and Dixon. Alfred Weiland 45 Maywood salesman driving a 1933 Auburn hit him as he ran between two cars. Kenneth was taken to Oak Park hospital with a deep forehead cut and a broken leg. Police Sergeant Kroeger assisted at the scene and ambulance was called.

Forest Park voters backed school district improvements and elected a slate of trustees. In Forest Park proper unopposed candidates Kramer Procter and McKee were elected to the school board. Mel Mader became president and Mathilde Petersohn secretary. Forest Park approved blacktopping of school grounds 2050 to 1508. Proviso Township elected Dr. William Wojahn and four others to the Proviso school board with Wojahn narrowly defeating W D Anderson by 232 votes.
