The Neighborhood club chorus performed at Community Methodist church on April 6 before a large audience. Director John Minnema sang two sets including A Man of Galilea and I'm a Pilgrim I'm a Stranger. Accompanist Mira Marjorie Stead offered an artistic organ rendition. George J Vogel aged 40 of Forest Park died at the family home 624 Marengo avenue. Born in Wattenburg Germany on March 10 1848 he came to America at 24 and is survived by wife Amy Thomes four children George A and William F Mrs Freida Shedda and Mrs Hilda Hawkerman all of Forest Park. He ran a saloon restaurant and bowling alley at 7200 Harrison street where his funeral was held. Rev William P Buch officiated and burial was at Woodlawn cemetery. Undertaker Blatter in charge. Also noted Olga Zuelke mother of Mrs Michael Kapecall died age 65 at Oak Park Hospital and funeral held at Kapachuli home with Rebekahs. Burial at Oak Park cemetery.

Kurt Sealin er won the Republican precinct committeeman post in Forest Park on Thursday, defeating Fred Licht who had held the office. The contest was the only race in the precinct. most incumbents were re-elected unopposed. Sealin er secured a majority of Socialist votes and a significant share of Democratic votes. Michael A. More than five hundred people including 100 boys from Speedway Hospital helped Atlas Education Film company shoot a mob scene at Arcadia Park Forest Park. The political rally sequence featured governor actor J Bernard Sherry with Chicago band music and many film crew members.
