Candidates wage vigorous campaign for votes as election day nears. Independent contenders Foal Zhinnwenn and George Arn rely on door-to-door outreach and personal effort while party factions name their ticket and headquarters in preparation for the village election next month.
Oak Park voters choose against Sunday movie ban amid a contentious election. Incumbent president Wille Merce led village officials. campaign workers faced clashes as results showed McFeeley defeating Duncan L. Boden by 410 to 60. Other elected officials included Walter Zuetell and Charley J. Whitmer. Justice of the Peace Mada Me McGrath named. Community pushback and church workers claim strong opposition to the ban across recent polls.
A shower at Feather, $20 Chrete avenue, honored Mia V. Martha of Marengo avenue with guests arriving at the door to greet her. A light luncheon and games followed a humorous air show. Prizes went to several named guests including Atenas Ining, Mushlentaupt, and Urrgang Jr. Gifts were given to the honoree by Mrs. Murti and others.

Harmonieus Forest Park society hosts a social entertainment and dance on Saturday evening April 7 at 8 o clock in Moone hall 7445 Madeon street. All are invited. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
