Manley Immel Dies Proviso Speech Head at 56
Manley W. Immel, head of Proviso Speech, died Friday at his Maywood home. He was 56, long ill with heart disease after a month on sick leave. A 28 year veteran, he gained fame for his speeches and civic work. During the war he wrote thousands of letters to graduates serving. He is survived by two children. Services were Sunday at Senne Funeral Home. Interment was Tuesday in Lebanon, Indiana.
