Fire Captain Frank Schnurstein Dies in Rescue at Madison Street Fire
Catholic services were held for Frank Schnurstein 44 captain of Forest Park Fire Dept who died after a ladder rescue at 7320 Madison. He saved a child before collapsing from a fractured skull and injuries. funeral cortege drew hundreds plus 25 outside fire officials. Survivors include wife Viola and children Frank and Terri Lee.
