A letter from Clarence P. Parks of Goldsboro describes a three month cross country tour with Vaughn Jenkins and Bill Powell. They traversed 25 states and two foreign flags, visiting Natural Bridge, Shenandoah, Pike’s Peak, Yellowstone, Cody, and the Grand Canyon, among other sites. The journey covered 10064 miles with vivid notes on landscapes, mines, oil wells, and historic locales, ending back in Forest City.
