Public auction to the highest bidder for cash of a 48 acre parcel in Loxans Store Township Rutherford County North Carolina. The sale follows a deed of trust dated December 1 1922 from C B Hicks to Southern Trust Company trustee recorded Book 4 page 9 in Rutherford County Register of Deeds. Located near Owen's corner and adjoining Colman Bridges Mrs E Allen W W Goode Baxter Champion and others. The point by point metes and bounds describe a long chain of courses and distances ending at the beginning with the stake on the public road. The notice posted August 28 1922 and signed by W A Worth attorney for Southern Trust Company.
Public sale conducted Saturday in Forest City fronting J C Harrill store exposes to the highest bidder a one acre more or less lot known as the B C Moore house and lot in Cool Springs township Rutherford County North Carolina. The deed traces to Eva Gosey Oma Gosey and a 1924 trust with Yelton Ledbetter chain of title and references Factory Street Harmon Road and P B Vernon lines. Trustee F B Harrill notes default and dates August 4 1925 with sale date September 1933 to satisfy the secured indebtedness.

A Rutherford County delegation of twenty nine autos visited the Mountain Branch Experimental Station at Swannanoa for the annual picnic. County Agent F E Patton and Home Agent Gladys Perry led the group to hear speakers including Commissioner W A Graham and Director J Schaub. The visit highlighted the station’s 18 year history, extensive crop trials, and self supporting operations benefiting Western North Carolina farmers.
