Rutherford County Club Formed At Wake Forest College
Rutherford County boys at Wake Forest College organized the Rutherford County Club on October 27 with C Rex Long as President and Wade B Matheny as Reporter. Eighteen Rutherford County students enrolled, the largest number ever, with several seniors and members active in campus religious and literary groups. The group plans monthly meetings to foster fellowship and county interests, and students will observe a holiday on November 2 for literary society events.

Highway 20 To Be Completed By Dec
Chimney Rock North Carolina November state highway 20 from Wilmington to Asheville via Charlotte Rutherfordton and Chimney Rock is expected to complete the 24 miles between Chimney Rock and Asheville by December 15. The contractor predicts completion but past delays have bred skepticism as motorists have detoured to Hendersonville adding about 42 miles round trip.

The Appleton Manufacturing Company of Lowell Mass forms a new Appleton Corporation to take over Brogon Mills in Anderson South Carolina. D D Little of Spartanburg elected to lead, Hugh F Little of Marion to assist. The mill, a large fancy goods operation with 60000 spindles and 1800 rooms, represents about 3 million dollars in investment.

Reports from Chimney Rock North Carolina state David Cox civilian injures in a football match in Charlotte yesterday. Forest City chosen to host Kings Mountain Presbytery meeting
The Kings Mountain Presbytery favored Forest City for its next spring meeting. At Log Creek church in Gaston county representatives argued Forest City’s appeal over Lincolnton and Kings Mountain. The vote stood in Forest City’s favor, and the meeting is set for Forest City Presbyterian church on the first Tuesday after the second Sunday in April 1926.
