More than fifty thousand spectators, from Ruthesford county and across the nation, witnessed Charlotte's second 250 mile automobile race on a cloudless day. Earl Cooper won by a lap over Harry Hartz amid a spectacular day of speed and a single notable spill. Tommy Milton, the prior year's winner, faded to third as engine trouble hampered his run.
