Anniversary Dinner and Local Social Notes
Mayor and Mrs. L. C. Lawrance celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary with about sixty guests at a Sunday dinner. The July Ladies’ Aid Society meeting at First Baptist included music, a playlet, and an alphabetic Bible contest won by Mrs. Biggerstaff. Numerous relatives and visitors arrived and departed across many towns, with travel to Spartanburg, Mocksville, and Lincolnton mentioned.
