About seventy-five plates were served at the Rutherford County all College Alumni banquet last night at the Iso thermal hotel. Dr W A Ayers of Forest City acted as toastmaster and Clyde A Erwin was elected president with Ben H Smith secretary and John W Dalton treasurer. Dr William S Frazier of Queens College Charlotte was the principal speaker, delivering a talk on The Purpose of a College Education and stressing the threefold development of man.
