Dramatic Club offers two one act plays at High School
The Dramatic Club presented two one act plays during National Dramatics Week in the high school auditorium on Friday February 10. Guests from the Woman's Club attended. The first play Trysting Place by Booth Tarkington featured Lancelot Briggs and other creditable performances. The second play The Second Blessing, set in a Blue Ridge cabin, showcased Aunt Mandy Trantham and a vivid cast including Angeline Zeb Robins and Moonshiner, with strong acting especially from Margaret Bostic and Mrs. D. H. Sutton.

Farris Bradford, 20, died February 10 at his parents’ home on Haynes Street Henrietta after illness. Survived by parents Isom and Bradford, sister Delia Edwards and others. funeral held Friday with Rev Beachboard. Jesse L. Scruggs age 80 died at his Ferry home after a stroke. Born March 24 1848 he served two marriages producing four living children from first wife Mary E. Webb and four living from second wife Rhoda C. Goode. Funeral held at Goode's Creek with Rev. T M Hester in charge. large crowd attended. He was described as a hard working quiet Christian man.
