Horns Reunion Described At Lowell NC Family Gathering
Saturday morning August 8 Mayor LC Lowrance and several relatives traveled to John Horn's home near Lowell North Carolina for a large family reunion. About one hundred attendees enjoyed a prayer led by Rev. Berryhill, a long luncheon under the apple tree and gospel singing, celebrating enduring kinship beyond time.

The Woman's Missionary Society of the First Baptist church met Friday afternoon with 14 members present. Devotionals led by Mrs. W. C. Bostic, scripture reading, and a lesson on Elizabeth followed. Personal service shows 144 visits to the sick, 42 garments given, 17 trays sent, 11 flowers. collection $24.45 and charity $4.05.

Dr B M Jarrett of Shelby, a prominent chiropractor, wed Miss Mary Sue Pruett of Boiling Springs at the bride's mother's home. Rev John Green officiated. After the ceremony the couple traveled to the Western North Carolina mountains and will be at home in Shelby upon their return. The bride, a Boiling Springs High School and Meredith College alumna, studied voice and piano. The groom is a Palmer School graduate.
