Then and Now Reminiscences of Burnt Chimneys Muster Ground
A vivid Civil War era reminiscence at Burnt Chimneys Muster Ground in July 1862. A seven year old narrator recalls a crowded scene with a speaker, Rebel yells, a Dixie anthem, and a dog fight between Dixie and Yank as crowds gather and rumors of advancing battles spread from frontier to town.
