Joyce Williamson a pupil at the Convent School in Tullamore fractured her left forearm while playing basketball on Wednesday. Forbes District Ambulance transported her to a doctor and then Crombie Hospital where she was admitted for treatment.
Mr Arthur Sharpe aged about 64 died suddenly from a heart attack at his property in Gereman 640 pm Wednesday after the mourners attended his brother Neep Sharpe's funeral in Forbes. He leaves a widow with no other family. The funeral proceeded to the Catholic section of Parkes cemetery with Rev Father Harper performing the rites and Mr A G Jones in charge of the mortuary arrangements.
Mrs J T Woods died yesterday at 54 years in Forbes after a long illness. She was a Victorian native, wife of long-time resident and station agent J T Woods, and mother of Elwyn Woods and Mrs W Jolie. The service will be at 3:30 pm at the Methodist Church with interment in the local cemetery. donations to the High School fund noted, with extensive community acknowledgments listed.
