Governor Clements signed a proclamation for Peanut Festival Days after being unable to meet the Court of Centennial Celebration in person. The document was mailed to the Court and covers October 11, 12 and 13.
Official memorandum from Texas Governor designates October 11–13, 1990 as the Texas Peanut Festival period in Floresville. Highlights include the 46th annual event, Kiddie Parade for children 1–10 at 5 p.m. October 12, and no motorized vehicles. Entry forms available at local Floresville venues.
Floresville Middle School invites parents and guardians of current students to attend a Parents Night Open House on Tuesday October 2. The event runs from 6 30 to 8 30 p m at 1813 Tiger Lane north of Floresville High School where teachers will meet attendees.
Charles Pfluger Jr of the Co Extension Agent notes hay producers should set aside samples for entry by October 26 at the Wilson County Extension Office in the Courthouse basement Floresville. The show is November 13, paired with a Pasture Renovation, offering hay comparisons, quality discussions, and education on forage value. For details call the county Extension Office at 393-7357.
Nicole Pruski visited KWCB Floresville on August 29 to announce the 46th Floresville Peanut Festival set for October 11 12 and 13. She promoted festival activities while live on air with DJ Fran Laskowski and thanked station staff and Cissy Gonzales for their support.
The Poth Band Boosters invite all high school marching band parents to attend a Friday night game. Parents should arrive at the field by 7 15 p m to begin lining up and show appreciation for the band during a first time Parents Night event.
