A large crowd gathered for the dedication of a new Catholic school on Sunday. Archbishop Arthur J. Crossearts officiated the service with a sermon by Very Rev. S Metzger of St. John's Seminary. Sheehy welcomed visitors and Cong. Kleberg spoke in the afternoon.
Parishioners gathered on September 17 1933 for the dedication of the new Sacred Heart parochial school donated by Rev Father P P Zarb. Archbishop Arthur J Crossearts presided with music by Oblate Fathers and bands, as floral gifts and a bronze tablet were presented to the priest. Local officials and citizens voiced thanks for his decades of service amid heat and ceremony.
