Wilson County Approves interlocal deals and benefit clarifications
Wilson County Commissioners met in regular session with four members present and Judge Marvin Quinney presiding. They approved two interlocal agreements with La Vernia and Floresville, clarified the county vacation policy, set a two month waiting period for health insurance for new full time hires, and ordered a leader on October 1 2003 for Precinct 3 off state contract. Amanda and Andrea Welfel were recognized for 4-H achievements and will attend the Texas 4-H Leadership Conference in Washington DC.

Four occupants were injured when a Hunter Industries truck hydroplaned in heavy rain at US 87 and West Main Street Stockdale. The driver went to Guadalupe Valley Hospital Seguin with minor injuries. three passengers treated on scene. DPS Trooper D. Wintrek noted repeated incidents at this guardrail location.
