Floresville Man Killed In Wreck
A 37 year old Floresville man Fred Laijas died when his southbound Chevy S 10 pickup struck an unoccupied Dodge truck and trailer on the shoulder of Southeast Loop 410 near Southcross Boulevard in San Antonio. The driver Cesar Laijas was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center. Cause of the crash was not listed in the police report.

Hold That Tiger Raises County Wildlife Concern
A note warns of a small exotic tiger in Flores Oaks Estates near Wilson County that could become dangerous with feeding and time. Officials say as of September 1 1997 no state laws exist to regulate such animals locally, and the matter has been referred to Wilson County Commissioners Court for consideration at the next meeting.
