Wilson County farmers attended meetings in Floresville Poth La Vernia and Panhandle to learn about soil building under the AAA program. E Moss and local AAA leaders urged adoption of terracing winter cover crops and soil fertility practices with payments for using phosphate and legumes. four carloads of superphosphate already delivered to 66 producers and requests for about 100 more cars and 40 000 pounds of winter legumes were on file.

Mrs Agnes Morawietz 73 died Friday August 25 at her daughter Mrs A J Richter Floresville after illness. Funeral services Saturday morning at Holy Trinity Church Falls City with Rev E S Dragon and Rev Albert George Henkes conducting rites. Interment Falls City Cemetery. She was a native of Panna Maria Karnes County and lived there her whole life. She is survived by husband Andrew Morawietz and family relatives.

Drowns While Fishing In The Calaveras Creek
Funeral services for Antonio Juarez, 26, who drowned in Calaveras Creek seven miles northwest of here, were held Saturday at Palacios Funeral Home. Interment followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Juarez, lifelong Wilson county resident, and a companion fished near their home when he suffered an epileptic stroke and fell into about two feet of water. He was dead before removal. Surviving are his parents Mr. and Mrs. Feliz Juarez and several brothers and sisters.
