Time For Operation Christmas Greeting in Wilson County

Festival of Lights Opens Floresville Season with Carols
The Festival of Lights 2002 began Sunday evening on the Wilson County Courthouse Square drawing a large crowd. Elementary and middle school choirs and church groups provided carols while Santa rode in with the Floresville Volunteer Fire Department and refreshments were offered.

Wilson County Commissioners discuss disaster plan and smallpox inoculation
Wilson County Commissioners during the November 25 2002 meeting reviewed a countywide disaster plan to inoculate 35,000 residents in five days using 16 hour shifts, with TDH involvement and a $150,000 grant for interlocal hazard planning. They approved an Off-System Bridge Priority List for 2006 and discussed hiring a Human Resources specialist to support the auditor and treasurer.
