Post Office Retirements Highlight Two Carriers
A retirement party on November 8, 2003 at Junior's honored city carrier Rudy Orosco and rural route carrier Margaret Fields. Orosco joined the Post Office in 1980 after 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and served as a Postal Union steward and city firmer. Fields began with the Post Office on April 7, 1990, often substituting on various routes before becoming a regular carrier and retired August 25, 2003.

Also announced is the 2003 Community Thanksgiving Service hosted by First Baptist Floresville at 1116 B Street Floresville Texas 78114 on Tuesday November 25 2003 at 6 00 p m with community choirs performing before the 7 00 p m service.

LeAnne Hofferichter Named Miss Texas Farm Bureau District 12 Queen
LeAnne Hofferichter daughter of Bill and Sharon Hofferichter of Floresville was selected as Miss Texas Farm Bureau District 12 Queen at the District Contest in Seguin on October 25 2003. She received a 1000 college scholarship and will compete in the Miss Texas Farm Bureau Contest at the state convention in December.
