Pastor Hey G Rader of the Mksville Methodist Church was returned to the Woresville charge for another year by the West Texas Conference. The decision followed the board of stewards and bishop cabinet approvals at San Antonio on Armistice Day, with Floresville named as the assigned locale.
At Laurel Heights Methodist Church San Antonio Bishop James E Dickey read the annual conference year appointments seeking to guide district leadership. A resolution endorses the Annual Red Cross Roll Call from Armistice Day to Thanksgiving. Mrs J W Oxford president praises the organization and calls for full cooperation and support for public welfare. The Parent Teachers Association members will help canvass for 250 members as the chapter’s goal.

Mrs John H Mayes was selected Thursday to direct the Wilson County Chapter's annual Roll Call for the American Red Cross opening Armistice Day November 11 through Thanksgiving November 26. She pledged a district by district canvass with teams visiting business houses to solicit members and promised full committee details next week.
Mayor J H Brown is the first to answer the Red Cross annual roll call for 1925 26. He sends a family membership fee and praises the organization’s work while pledging personal interest in the upcoming campaign led by Roll Call Chairman Mrs J H Mayes. Plans for a community canvass will be organized as the drive opens Armistice Day.
Arrangements for a semifinal district game between Edna and Floresville High Schools were made by Paul Schmidt of Yorktown. Edna has two wins and three ties in five interscholastic games while Floresville led with three wins and two ties and remains unscored on. The winner advances to face Alamo Heights or Somerset in the finals.
Cemetery Association will meet with Mrs Sam Fore Jr on Friday November 13 at 3 o’clock. All members are requested to be present.
A home talent play in Poth Texas at the High School auditorium on Sunday night in November at : begins at 8 P. M. Proceeds benefit the Poth Boy Scouts with general admission 25 and 35 cents.
Miss Eddie Dennis daughter of Mr and Mrs W OD Dennis was chosen as Duchess from Floresville High School for the Range High School Carnival on Armistice Day November 11. A popularity contest at the local school selected her with support from community figures including A A J Stoeltje. Bob Stockman has recently made multiple trips to the Fort Worth market amid continued activity.
