R. E. Overstreet outlines the aims of the Texas Cotton Co-Operative Association as it works with the Federal Farm Board. Representative farmers and business men attend the meeting to hear the purposes and goals discussed.
Farmers and business leaders gathered at the chamber of commerce to hear R B Overstreet outline a new marketing plan under the Texas Cotton Co operative Association and the Federal Farm Board. Williams, a cotton board member, will speak next Tuesday in Corpus Christi, with Floresville set to send a delegation.
An official notice announces the creation of Justice Precinct No 6 in Wilson County. The brief item notes the new precinct designation and its administrative effect within the county.
The Wilson County Poultry Association invites members and non members to a June meeting at the Chamber of Commerce office at 8 30 p m with a renowned poultryman to discuss pullet care and the possible establishment of a candling station in Floresville. The gathering urges profitable egg production despite low prices and aims to expand the local poultry industry.

Revival services at the Methodist Church feature two daily sermons at 10 a m and 8 p m. Attendance has been fair but many more are urged to return to active church work. Rev D T McMahon from South San Antonio assists with the pastor and local children workers during the revival urging loyal support from the community’s parents and families.
Tomato growers report a improving week with a mid next week peak expected. Chris Moehrig sold over $90 per acre and Jim Marek about $180 potential from six thousand pounds. Green corn buyers to start soon and growers urged to inform Floresville Chamber to schedule shipments. pears and peas noted as progressing.
The Boy Scout court of honor originally set for June night has been postponed to next Thursday evening. The meeting will be at the high school auditorium in Sp on the date. Scouts from Floresville Stockdale and Poth are invited, with special invitations extended to latent scouts to attend.
In Stockdale Texas a telegram announced George Richter, youth of the area, died in a New York City hospital. His brother August rushed to the city and wired that he would escort the body home, with burial planned at Cibolo Catholic Church Cemetery upon arrival.
Rev Aug Artus will conduct regular services at Three Oaks Evangelical Church on Sunday June 1. Preaching at 9 a.m. with Sunday School immediately after. A cordial invitation is extended to all to attend.
Floresville Musical Club held its last meeting of the year on Tuesday May 27 at the president’s home to elect officers for the coming year. Officers elected include First Vice President Katherine Mitchell Second Vice President KE Whitsett Third Vice President AC Eschenburg Secretary and Treasurer Ed Franklin Reporter W O Murray Jr Parliamentarian John Wiseman life president Mrs FeO Houston appointed a committee for directors at large. A guest program followed featuring Miss Simon a contralto from New York and Florence Saxon Busch of the Pittee Players with humorous recitation and an impersonation. San Antonio accompanist Jewel Carey supported the artists. Hostesses served orange charlotte and cosmos decor.
Mesdames John Y. Blake and John W. Spruce hosted a luncheon at the Texas State Hotel for Miss Lillie Blake, daughter of Dr. John Blake, who will receive an IB degree from Rice Institute on June 9. The Owl's Club of Ioihick hosted 33 guests with roses and lace ferns in the decorations.
