Mrs. 8. K. Franklin Died Suddenly in Floresville
Mrs. 8. K. Franklin, longtime Floresville resident and Wilson County figure, died suddenly at her home after an evening visit with friends. Funeral services were held Sunday at 4 p.m. with large attendance. Rev. J. T. Howard and Rev. William McNiel led the rites, and Col. Jesse Franklin, her son, was president of San Matías Baptist Academy. She was born Margaret Virginia Chapman in Louisiana on September 16, 1871, married 8. K. Franklin on January 27, 1892, and left six children.
